PDRTA to offer more routes to Florence from outlying areas

The Pee Dee Regional Transportation Authority has begun offering early morning and afternoon commuter service to and from Florence for outlying communities.

Six routes have been added to the schedule to accommodate workers, students and others who need bus service. The routes include runs from Dillon to Florence, Hartsville and Darlington to Florence, Lake City to Florence, and Mullins and Marion to Florence.

Each route picks up at central locations and ends at PDRTA’s Central Transfer Point (CTP) at Evans and Dargan Streets in downtown Florence.

All routes connect to the Florence Transit System and to Florence-Darlington Technical College.

Buses also connect to Francis Marion University and many points in between.

The locations for the new routes are:
• Route 10, Central Transfer Point, Hardee’s at U.S. 52/Interstate 95, Pee Dee State Farmer’s Market, Florence-Darlington Technical College, CTP and return.
• Route 11, Hartsville Hardee’s, Darlington Pulic Square, Main Street/Darlington, Florence-Darlington Tech, CTP and return.
• Route 12, IGA in Lake City, Bi-Lo in Lake City, Young’s in Scranton, Coward Town Hall, Hub Grill in Effingham, CTP and return.
• Route 14, Hardee’s in Dillon, McGill’s in Marion, CTP and return
• Route 15, Hardee’s in Mullins, McGill’s in Marion, FMU/U.S. 301, CTP and return.
• Route 16, Dollar General in Mullins, McGill’s in Marion, Hot Spot at Pee Dee, FMU/U.S. 301, CTP and return.
