Incentive Applications

Please download and complete the application for the program for which you are applying. Applications for the façade, sign, design, and business license credit are non-competitive grants available to current building and/or business owners located in the expanded incentive district indicated on the map here: click for map. The Downtown Florence Historic District consists of properties located in the 100 and 200 block of North Dargan, South Dargan and West Evans Street. Buildings located outside of the historic district and expanded incentive area, but still within the D-1 District may be eligible to participate in our MELP Loan Program and Loan Pool Program. Please refer to the loan pool map below.

Business Redevelopment & Historic Building Grant Programs:

Redevelopment grants in the categories below are competitive grants available to businesses located within the designated expanded incentive area (map here) or the Irby Street Corridor Overlay District (map here). Applications for these competitive grants are due quarterly on the first Friday of the new quarter, are reviewed by a grants committee, and qualifying applicants are put before City Council the following month for approval.
