Cumberland United Methodist Church Rebuilds History  

Cumberland United Methodist Church is rebuilding an exact replica of its historic sanctuary located at 163 South Coit Street. The layout of the site is in conformance with the original layout when the sanctuary was first built in 1913.

Downtown Florence Seeks National Register Nomination  
The Florence Downtown Development Corporation has made application to the South Carolina Department of Archives and History to nominate a portion of Downtown on the National Register of Historic Places.
Florence Little Theatre  
Construction of the new Florence Little Theatre is underway at 411 South Dargan Street.
New Residential Development Anticipated  
In April of 2006, the City of Florence Design Review Board approved a new residential development in the Downtown Central Overlay District (D-2) called Coit Village.
Office Space Newly Renovated  
The City of Florence Design Review Board approved renovations to 183 South Coit Street on July 12, 2007. After some time has passed, renovations to the interior and exterior have been completed.
The Breezeway  

A detailed plan for a breezeway project continues to move forward on property acquired by the City located on West Evans Street in the Historic Overlay District.
