Here are our committees:

Design
Chairperson – Agnes Wilcox
Works to enhance the attractiveness of downtown including historic building rehabilitation and façade improvements.   Assists in overall improvement of the physical image of the downtown as a quality place to shop, work, walk, invest in and live. 

Economic Restructuring
Chairperson – Jim Lyles

Involves analyzing current market forces to develop long-term solutions, recruit new businesses, and creatively convert unused space to encourage Economic Development in the City of Florence.

Executive 
Chairperson – Tom Ewart

The Executive Committee works on issues of policy and direction and helps guide the overall efforts of the Downtown Development Corporation.

Organizations
Chairperson – Ed Love

Involves building board and committee framework that is well represented by business and property owners, banks, citizens, public officials, chambers of commerce and other local economic development organizations.

Promotions
Chairperson – Tara Durden

Promotion involves marketing an enticing shoppers, investors, and visitors to better position downtown Florence within the market place. Events such as The South Carolina Pecan Festival, and the Friday after Five concert series also fall under this committee’s umbrella.
