The Downtown Development Office works hard to help promote all retail shops, restaurants, and close contact service businesses located within our historic district through annual multimedia marketing campaigns and shop small initiatives and through the following channels.
Weekly Downtown Events Newsletter
The weekly downtown newsletter is produced in partnership with the Florence Convention and Visitors Bureau and is delivered to subscribers weekly on Wednesday mornings. If your business has a special promotion or event taking place, please let the Downtown Development Office know via email (firstname.lastname@example.org) no later than Tuesday at noon. The newsletter covers events taking place from Wednesday through Tuesday of the following week. All downtown businesses located within the H-1 Historic District or W-1 Food, Artisan, Warehouse District are eligible to submit promotions and events.

Special Event Participation
Participating in a special event downtown, especially a tasting event, is a great way to attract new customers to your business. Each year, there are three tasting events you can be part of—the Florence Wine and Food Festival's Sip & Savor Wine Stroll, Tap into Downtown Craft Brew Crawl, and the Downtown Chocolate Crawl. Cost of participation varies with each event.
