August Florence After 5

Florence After 5 is Downtown’s favorite award-winning block party. Held the final Friday of each month from April to October, the Florence Downtown Development Corp. hosts a FREE concert in the 100 block of S. Dargan Street between Evans and Cheves Streets in Historic Downtown Florence.

The band for the August Florence After 5 will be the Cat 5 Band.

The event run from 5:30 until 8:30 p.m. and the band takes the stage at 6:00 p.m. Food and beverages are available at the event. All food and beverage sales are made via tickets, which can be purchased at our ticket booth located near the Griffin Plaza. Just look for the big ticket flag! Tickets are $1.00 each. Both cash and cards are accepted.

MUSC Florence Medical Center will offer a free on-site COVID-19 vaccination clinic at each Florence After 5 event. We encourage guests to socially distance where possible and encourage the use of face masks if social distance cannot be maintained for unvaccinated guests. Sanitizer stations will be available at the beer booth, ticket booth, and each vendor station.

Convenient event parking is available in the free City of Florence Parking Garage accessed via 150 S. Irby Street, the free County Complex Parking Garage accessed via N. Irby Street, or in any of the available on-street spaces on W. Evans and N. Dargan Street, the SC DHEC parking lot, or the BTC parking lot. 

Restrooms are located in the James Allen Plaza.
